They traveled all over the world with their friends to such destinations as Dubai, Hong Kong, Switzerland, France, Spain, North and South Africa, Italy, Japan, Germany, Austria and Shanghai being his favorite. They met in 1960 and went to Escanaba High School together. He and Carol were actively involved in their grandchildrens lives and especially loved having the grandkids visit them in Escanaba.
