It doesnt make your attacks less powerful or anything like this. Though all of them are useful in their own ways, the following traits are the best to pick up. It doesn't just make noises louder for you, but specifically gives you eyes at the back of your head (short range). Long-term, these traits can be great for getting some of the good traits. This means driving through bushes, towing vehicles, and having to life-or-death plow through zombies, will fail horribly. Generally high-fat foods are going to be easy to find. Axe and long blunt boosted, 2 great weapon choices. Good with adrenaline junkie, but panic can really screw you over in combat. Claustrophobia on a no sleep MP server is just free points. Waste of points. It's an absolutely amazing trait. Take weak stomach instead. This increases how far you can "see" behind your character and is enough of a buff that you can fast-forward and still react to zombies that attack from behind. More experienced players may find the points spent better elsewhere instead. Valve Corporation. This can be an issue though if do get surprised by an enemy (which can happen often in Project Zomboid), but as long as you are a stealthy player you should be fine with Thin-Skinned! Unfortunately you arent able to get this trait if your character has the Veteran job as this removes panic from your character completely. You will wake up close to tired. -2 Fitness, Description: Low strength, low endurance and prone to injury. Sunday Driver: 2.
Build 41 has made cigarettes a little bit harder to locate but you still shouldnt have too much trouble. Everything in this skill is either learned quickly through the foraging skill, or through a fairly easy to find magazine. I've never found food to be a massive issue in this game, just forage for a few hours and you'll have enough food for the week. That fire officer + underweight combo is pretty awesome. Cigarettes are easy to find, and i think smoking every so often adds a neat little bit of immersion. This one will really depend on the type of character you want to play and which version of the game you are playing. This perk isnt working at all as of the time im writing this, so its free points. ._38lwnrIpIyqxDfAF1iwhcV{background-color:var(--newCommunityTheme-widgetColors-lineColor);border:none;height:1px;margin:16px 0}._37coyt0h8ryIQubA7RHmUc{margin-top:12px;padding-top:12px}._2XJvPvYIEYtcS4ORsDXwa3,._2Vkdik1Q8k0lBEhhA_lRKE,.icon._2Vkdik1Q8k0lBEhhA_lRKE{border-radius:100%;box-sizing:border-box;-ms-flex:none;flex:none;margin-right:8px}._2Vkdik1Q8k0lBEhhA_lRKE,.icon._2Vkdik1Q8k0lBEhhA_lRKE{background-position:50%;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:100%;height:54px;width:54px;font-size:54px;line-height:54px}._2Vkdik1Q8k0lBEhhA_lRKE._1uo2TG25LvAJS3bl-u72J4,.icon._2Vkdik1Q8k0lBEhhA_lRKE._1uo2TG25LvAJS3bl-u72J4{filter:blur()}.eGjjbHtkgFc-SYka3LM3M,.icon.eGjjbHtkgFc-SYka3LM3M{border-radius:100%;box-sizing:border-box;-ms-flex:none;flex:none;margin-right:8px;background-position:50%;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:100%;height:36px;width:36px}.eGjjbHtkgFc-SYka3LM3M._1uo2TG25LvAJS3bl-u72J4,.icon.eGjjbHtkgFc-SYka3LM3M._1uo2TG25LvAJS3bl-u72J4{filter:blur()}._3nzVPnRRnrls4DOXO_I0fn{margin:auto 0 auto auto;padding-top:10px;vertical-align:middle}._3nzVPnRRnrls4DOXO_I0fn ._1LAmcxBaaqShJsi8RNT-Vp i{color:unset}._2bWoGvMqVhMWwhp4Pgt4LP{margin:16px 0;font-size:12px;font-weight:400;line-height:16px}.icon.tWeTbHFf02PguTEonwJD0{margin-right:4px;vertical-align:top}._2AbGMsrZJPHrLm9e-oyW1E{width:180px;text-align:center}.icon._1cB7-TWJtfCxXAqqeyVb2q{cursor:pointer;margin-left:6px;height:14px;fill:#dadada;font-size:12px;vertical-align:middle}.hpxKmfWP2ZiwdKaWpefMn{background-color:var(--newCommunityTheme-active);background-size:cover;background-image:var(--newCommunityTheme-banner-backgroundImage);background-position-y:center;background-position-x:center;background-repeat:no-repeat;border-radius:3px 3px 0 0;height:34px;margin:-12px -12px 10px}._20Kb6TX_CdnePoT8iEsls6{-ms-flex-align:center;align-items:center;display:-ms-flexbox;display:flex;margin-bottom:8px}._20Kb6TX_CdnePoT8iEsls6>*{display:inline-block;vertical-align:middle}.t9oUK2WY0d28lhLAh3N5q{margin-top:-23px}._2KqgQ5WzoQRJqjjoznu22o{display:inline-block;-ms-flex-negative:0;flex-shrink:0;position:relative}._2D7eYuDY6cYGtybECmsxvE{-ms-flex:1 1 auto;flex:1 1 auto;overflow:hidden;text-overflow:ellipsis}._2D7eYuDY6cYGtybECmsxvE:hover{text-decoration:underline}._19bCWnxeTjqzBElWZfIlJb{font-size:16px;font-weight:500;line-height:20px;display:inline-block}._2TC7AdkcuxFIFKRO_VWis8{margin-left:10px;margin-top:30px}._2TC7AdkcuxFIFKRO_VWis8._35WVFxUni5zeFkPk7O4iiB{margin-top:35px}._1LAmcxBaaqShJsi8RNT-Vp{padding:0 2px 0 4px;vertical-align:middle}._2BY2-wxSbNFYqAy98jWyTC{margin-top:10px}._3sGbDVmLJd_8OV8Kfl7dVv{font-family:Noto Sans,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:14px;font-weight:400;line-height:21px;margin-top:8px;word-wrap:break-word}._1qiHDKK74j6hUNxM0p9ZIp{margin-top:12px}.Jy6FIGP1NvWbVjQZN7FHA,._326PJFFRv8chYfOlaEYmGt,._1eMniuqQCoYf3kOpyx83Jj,._1cDoUuVvel5B1n5wa3K507{-ms-flex-pack:center;justify-content:center;margin-top:12px;width:100%}._1eMniuqQCoYf3kOpyx83Jj{margin-bottom:8px}._2_w8DCFR-DCxgxlP1SGNq5{margin-right:4px;vertical-align:middle}._1aS-wQ7rpbcxKT0d5kjrbh{border-radius:4px;display:inline-block;padding:4px}._2cn386lOe1A_DTmBUA-qSM{border-top:1px solid var(--newCommunityTheme-widgetColors-lineColor);margin-top:10px}._2Zdkj7cQEO3zSGHGK2XnZv{display:inline-block}.wzFxUZxKK8HkWiEhs0tyE{font-size:12px;font-weight:700;line-height:16px;color:var(--newCommunityTheme-button);cursor:pointer;text-align:left;margin-top:2px}._3R24jLERJTaoRbM_vYd9v0._3R24jLERJTaoRbM_vYd9v0._3R24jLERJTaoRbM_vYd9v0{display:none}.yobE-ux_T1smVDcFMMKFv{font-size:16px;font-weight:500;line-height:20px}._1vPW2g721nsu89X6ojahiX{margin-top:12px}._pTJqhLm_UAXS5SZtLPKd{text-transform:none} Like I can be facing forward and hear an out-of-place moan and know that there's a zombie behind me but still not in my perception circle. The Best Traits In Project Zomboid -1 Fitness. Positive Traits: Speed Demon 1/5 Waste of one point. Out of shape, unfit - by training fitness. I'll start with the ones I've been able to determine: Feeble Obese Out of Shape Overweight Poor eyesight (uncertain, but open to others testing) Underweight Unfit Very Underweight Weak Community provided temporary traits: Pretty much a non-issue with certain weapons that can consistently one-shot even at low skill levels. Great list! When choosing traits for a character, remember any skill (other than fitness and strength gets a permanent XP bonus (1- 75% 2- 100% 3+ 125% to that skill, as well as extra level(s.)). The xp boosts that gymnast provide are pretty useful to keeping you alive in combat so I always take it. All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries. Slow Healer (doesn't really matter; also don't get hurt), High Thirst (water is trivial unless you have month-long drought), Underweight (just gorge yourself on perishable food before the power goes out), Smoker (this is a positive trait disguised as a negative one), Prone to Illness (free points; just don't sit out in the rain naked for hours), Hearty Appetite (food isn't much of a problem and you need to eat enough calories to maintain a healthy weight anyway), Conspicuous (it makes you more likely to be spotted, but zombies are doing lots of spot checks anyway so it doesn't matter much), Weak Stomach (you shouldn't be eating bad food regardless, so this is free points), Short Sighted (it's broken and only decreases your foraging radius), Cowardly (unless you're going up against giant hordes panic isn't really an issue, and Beta Blockers are plentiful), Slow Reader (it's annoying but not bad, you just spend more time fast-forwarding in your base).
Negative Traits That Can Go Away :: Project Zomboid General Discussions Overweight stops you from taking fitness bonuses, but underweight reduces your fitness by one. Again you probably don't know how detection works in the game. Chances are you are taking a character with an occupation and already have an idea on what which weapons you wish to skill up. This will make your start more difficult, but you can easily overcome this by eating more/less accordingly. I mostly agree with you, with differences probably coming from differences in play style. However, if you go a while without smoking, you will become unhappy until you reach the point of depression.
